The SEC has announced that UK volleyball freshman Madison Lilley has been named the conference’s Player of the Week.

Lilley was also named the SEC Setter of the Week for her past week’s performances.

In the past week, Lilley averaged 14.4 assists per set in the two matches Kentucky won. In Sunday’s four-set match against Marquette, Lilley recorded 65 assists, which was the second time in her career that the freshman hit the 65 assist mark.

No other UK volleyball player has recorded that many assists in more than one set in program history.

Lilley also added five kills, two aces and six digs in the Cats’ two victories.

After playing their last six matches away from home, the Cats will return to Memorial Coliseum on Sept. 15 for a home game for the first time since Aug. 26. The Cats will host in-state rival Louisville as the Cats come off last week’s pair of victories.

The match will start at 7 p.m.
