Ebony G. Patterson, a former University of Kentucky faculty member, presented her art in conversation with museum director Stuart Horodner at the Otis A. Singletary Center for the Arts. The event was the first of the Gaines Centers ‘Origins’ events, a theme chosen to explore the origins of institutions, nations and ecosystems. Patterson’s artworks represents this theme through explorations of race, class, gender and colonialism.
