Kentucky football (1-1, 0-1 SEC) fell to No. 20 Ole Miss (2-0, 1-0 SEC) by a score of 30-23.
Both teams came into the game after week one victories as the Wildcats beat Toledo 24-16 and Ole Miss took down Georgia State 63-7.
The last time the two teams faced off, Kentucky stunned the then No. 6 Rebels in Oxford and ultimately kept them out of the College Football Playoff.

The Wildcats took the field looking to build on the newly depleted lead but were forced to punt back to the Rebels.
Now playing from behind, the Wildcats put together a drive that included four first downs and moved into Ole Miss territory but was forced to settle for a 31-yard Jacob Kauwe field goal to slim the deficit to 14-13.
The Rebels added three points to their lead with a 43-yard field goal by Lucas Carneiro with just over one minute left in the half.
After the field goal, Kentucky had a chance to score to end the half and get the ball to start the second half but could not due to burning all its timeouts earlier in the half and several penalties.
Once play resumed, the Wildcats got another shot on offense and came up empty as a quick three-and-out put the ball back in the hands of the Rebels.
The Rebels returned the favor with a quick punt on their opening drive of the second half.
Kentucky made it three straight punts to start the second half as its offensive cold streak continued.
Ole Miss broke up the consecutive punts with a 43-yard field goal that extended its lead to 20-13.
With the game now tied, the Rebels continued to flow offensively as it took just eight plays to break the tie as Austin Simmons took it himself for a 7-yard touchdown.
Once again down a touchdown, the Wildcats went three-and-out on their next offensive series.
However, Kentucky forced a three-and-out of its own to keep the deficit within one possession.
The Rebels were forced to punt, but the bigger story became the health of Simmons, who was shaken up and did not return. Trinidad Chambliss finished the game under center for Ole Miss.

The Wildcats opted to go for on a fourth-and-6, but Boley was sacked.
