More than 40 UK students staged a “die-in” demonstration on the first floor of the Patterson Office Tower on Tuesday. The demonstration was a reaction to the deaths of two African-Americans by police officers who were not charged. Most recently, a NYPD officer was not charged for the choking death of Eric Garner, who was unarmed, in New York City.  Some students brought signs displaying various messages denouncing police brutality.
