“Downtown Lexington is now your dance floor” were the first words on the instructions participants received as they arrived at Bike Prom on Saturday evening.

Prom participants were asked to start at the Living Arts and Science Center on North Martin Luther King Boulevard for a race around downtown Lexington. Each participant was given a map with a variety of check points where they were to perform various prom activities, such as taking pictures with a prom date, drinking punch and dancing.

Prizes were later given to the best-dressed and fastest participants.

Proceeds from Saturday’s event went to the Living Arts and Science Center, a non-profit organization that provides classes and workshops for all ages.
