Student display aimed to raise awareness about abortion

About 800 white crosses were set up as a display on campus Monday, each representing about five babies that would be aborted in the US that day.

UK Students for Life put the crosses for “Cemetery of Innocents” in the area between White Hall Classroom Building and the Ralph G. Anderson Building to give people perspective on the number of abortions that happen, said group member David Burnett. An estimated 4,000 abortions are performed every day in the US, Burnett said, and this intended to be a silent memorial to them.

Greg Adams, the group’s vice president of events, said the option of getting a degree and the option of having a baby are often presented as being at odds with each other.“We really want to empower women to have their child and get a degree,” Adams said.

The group did a similar event three or four years ago, Adams said, but the display was vandalized in the morning before anyone could see it. He said the group received positive feedback about Monday’s display and had little trouble with vandalism.

  1. ridiculous, this makes me hate the people creating the exhibit, not abortion. Besides, we have a huge population issue. This earth can’t hold that many people.

Once again, the over-population myth is used as an excuse for abortion. Let’s think this through. We don’t have enough people to fill the jobs we have in this country – the ones the media says nobody wants – so we have to allow 12-14 million illegal people to live here in order to fill those jobs. If Cats Fan ever plans on getting a social security check someday, he (or she) might do well to learn how many people it takes to be actively employed in the workforce in order to fund the social security program for one retired and/or disabled American. I think its something like 5 workers needed per 1 retiree or 1 disabled person.

If the U.S. is over-populated, why are we a graying nation? Why are there more old people than young people?. One only has to look to Europe to see the devastating effect of abortion on demand. This continent will lose its “European” identity in the next 30 years. The fastest growing group of people in France, England, Spain, and Germany are the Muslims. Muslims abhor abortion and have large families. They will completely change the look and culture of Europe within the next 30-40 years. Germany is a country that is right now in danger of aborting itself out of existence. So few German women choose to have even a single child and those women who do plan on having children in the future are delaying childbirth too long and then end up having fertility problems. Have you ever stopped to consider why there are also so many couples in the U.S. today who have fertility problems. Too few people today know anything about the biology of the human body. If they did, they wouldn’t put off having children till their late 30′s and 40′s and then end up with fertility problems.

People are a tremendous resource to any nation. No nation that aborts its young at the rate of over 4000 per day can long survive. Last year, there was a baby boom in the U.S. thanks to the Hispanic population. The Black race is no longer the largest minority, having been surpassed by Hispanics, which is now the largest minority in America. The reason: Abortion is the Number One Killer of Black Americans. Visit blackgenocide.org for more information on this startling fact.

If the U.S. wants to remain a major player on the world stage, we must have a growing and vibrant population and that takes families willing to have children.
