Former UK student pleads not guilty in arraignment hearing

Former UK student Sophia Rosing entered a not-guilty plea at the Lexington Circuit Court Friday morning, after assaulting a student worker in Boyd Hall on Nov. 6, 2022.

According to Judge Lucy A. VanMeter, Rosing is charged with assaulting a police officer, three counts of assault, disorderly conduct and public alcohol intoxication.

Fred Peters, Rosing’s attorney, requested that her pre-trial be set for May 4, 2023, and a status hearing for May 26, 2023.
