Shots were fired at the South Limestone and Winslow St. intersection around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
Two male victims sustained non-life threatening-injuries and were transported to the hospital, according to a post from the Lexington Police Department on X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to University of Kentucky Alerts, neither victim was a UK student.
UK Alerts told community members to “avoid the area” across from Holmes Hall and Two Keys Tavern.
Freshman Nick Livingston said he was in his dorm when he heard the shots fired and saw two men from Two Keys Tavern help one of the victims before going outside to see what had happened.
The area is clear and safe as of 10:43 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, according to UK Alerts.
