A wild season for the Cats: Kentucky’s 2022 match-ups

Kentucky football’s 2022 schedule is comprised of eight home games and four away games. The season begins on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, at Kroger Field as the Cats take on the Miami Ohio RedHawks.

Game 1: Miami Ohio RedHawks

When: Saturday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. Location: Kroger Field in Lexington, Kentucky
Series Record: 8-1-4 (Miami last victory in 1979)
Last Meeting: Sept. 7, 2013 (UK won 41-7)
2021 Record: 7-6
Key Player: Junior quarterback Brett Gabbert, brother of NFL quarterback Blaine Gabbert. 2,648 yards, 26 touchdowns and six interceptions in 2021.
