Eli Capilouto, the provost for The University of Alabama at Birmingham, was chosen as the UK Board of Trustees presidential pick Sunday afternoon at a news conference.

Capilouto will replace President Lee Todd, who announced in September that this would be his last year serving as UK’s 11th president.
