Back in May, UK men’s basketball head coach John Calipari announced on his own website that a game between former UK and Calipari-coached players and the Dominican Republic national team was happening during the summer.

“There will be an opportunity for fans to see the team in a planned exhibition game at Rupp Arena vs. former Cats and also my former players,” Calipari wrote on May 5.

More details emerged today from two reports. First, KSR reported that John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe would be returning for the Aug. 15 game. Later in the day, Steve Moss of WKYT reported that Joe B. Hall has been contacted about coaching the UK team.
