UK swept the weekly SEC awards, with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist earning Player of the Week and Anthony Davis earning Freshman of the Week.

Kidd-Gilchrist averaged 21 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in wins over Lamar and Louisville. His two highest scoring outputs of the season came in those two games. The award is his first of the season.

Davis averaged 14 points, 11.5 rebounds and six blocks. The award is his second this season. Davis is leading the nation in blocks per game, averaging 4.6. He has five more total blocks than No. 2 C.J. Aiken, a 6-9 F from St. Joseph’s, in the same amount of games.

UK has won four awards on the year.

This was the fourth time UK has swept the awards since John Calipari became head coach.
