If you haven’t heard already, the ComicCon is coming to Lexington on Saturday at the Lexington Convention Center.

If you’ve ever been to a ComicCon, you know how it is: cosplay (dressing up as comic characters), visiting celebrities and booths galore that allow you to meet with authors.

Local businesses have set up booths, such as A+ Comics and Collectibles, as well as businesses from out-of-state, such as Comic City Tennessee.

Bob McLeod, writer and illustrator for “Superhero ABC,” will be at the convention. He has “penciled and inked” for both Marvel and DC. He has illustrated major characters, like Spiderman, The X-Men, Batman and Superman.

Not only will the artists behind the scenes be at the convention, but so will celebrities. One celebrity is Catherine Sutherland, who played Pink Ranger in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” and a variety of other “Power Ranger” sequels.

Nakia Burrise, a co-star of Sutherland’s, played Yellow Ranger in “Power Ranger Zeo,” and will be at the convention as well.

Those are only three of the many celebrities and writers that are going to be at the ComicCon.

The full list is on their website.

One thing to get excited for is cosplay. If there is ever a time to dress up as fun as you want to in your favorite comic character, then Saturday is the time to do so.

Who knows how many different costumes there will be.

Don’t be afraid to show up in costume yourself. Trust me, you won’t be alone.

The ComicCon will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are at the door for $10.
