San Diego Padres select Trevor Gott in MLB Draft

UK baseball’s all-time leader in saves was selected in the sixth round of the 2013 MLB Draft on Friday.

The San Diego Padres picked junior right-handed pitcher Trevor Gott with the 178th overall selection.

Gott earned 12 saves in 2013 and has 23 lifetime in a UK uniform.

Gott kept an ERA of 1.20 in his junior season, going 4-1 on the year as he tossed a total of 30 innings.

He joins junior left handed pitcher Corey Littrell in the list of two UK players selected in the first six rounds of the 2013 draft.
