Celebs visit college campuses in support of Hillary

It’s no secret that some of Hillary Clinton’s supporters have some major star power. Several are using their influence to campaign for Hillary on college campuses.

Debra Messing, Will Ferrell, and Lena Dunham are just a few Hillary’s advocates. Katy Perry recently visited the University of Nevada Las Vegas to garner support for the presidential candidate, donning a “Nasty Woman” t-shirt along with several other campaigners.

Miley Cyrus visited the dorms at George Mason University in Virginia, while Chloe Grace Moretz hosted tailgates at the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Grand Valley and Western Michigan, all to encourage students to vote for Hillary.

Hillary’s goal in recruiting celebrity campaigners is to appeal to millennial voters, a struggle she’s had in the past in her 2008 run against Barack Obama and more recently with her Democratic Party opponent Bernie Sanders.

The Clinton campaign also wants to gain the votes of students that might otherwise vote for a third party candidate like Libertarian Gary Johnson or Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
