Crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and GoFundMe have become popular as people around the world fund their trips, projects, educations, and businesses with money raised from online donations.

Now, colleges are using these platforms to encourage student projects and organizations by raising money for them through the university’s network.

Colleges can access alumni and several others in their network that individual students might not be able to reach. These students, in turn, can fund organizations and complete projects affiliated with the university.
