UK football has yet to play a night game under the lights at Kroger Field this season, but that will change when the Florida Gators come to town on Sept. 23.

On Monday, the SEC Office announced the kickoff times for all football games on the weekend of Sept. 23. However, the Cats and Gators game doesn’t have a finalized time yet as three broadcasting options are being considered for the game.

Kickoff will either be at 7 p.m. and air on ESPN2, or at 7:30 and air on ESPNU or SEC Network.

Other games being considered for those slots are LSU vs. Syracuse, and Missouri vs. Auburn.

A decision finalizing the kickoff time is expected by Sunday.

Florida is 0-1 this year after a season-opening loss to Michigan. The Gators were supposed to play Northern Colorado on Sept. 9, but the game was canceled because of Hurricane Irma.

The Gators’ next game is on Sept. 16 against Tennessee while the Cats will travel to South Carolina on the same day.

The Gators have won the last 30 contests over the Cats, but many view this year as the year that streak could come to an end. The Cats are 1-0 at Kroger Field this year and will look to keep that record undefeated when they face the Gators on the evening of Sept. 23.
