UK men’s soccer freshman goalkeeper Enrique Facusse has added several awards to his resume as the Cats’ season draws to a close, earning recognition for his defensive prowess all season.

As the C-USA conference tournament closes, Facusse adds a Golden Glove Award, as well as being named the C-USA Freshman of the Year, a place on the C-USA All-Freshman Team and a spot on the All-C-USA First Team.

Facusse recorded four shutouts in C-USA play, tied for first along with Old Dominion’s Mertcan Akar. He led the conference in goals-against average for league play (0.71), as well as recording seven total shutouts on the season. He led the Cats as they held their reputation as a defensive stalwart, finishing with a 4-2-2 record in conference play.

The team was quickly eliminated from the C-USA Tournament, but its NCAA Tournament hopes are still alive.
