UK alumna Ashley Judd will return to UK in December to deliver the Irma Sarett Rosenstein Lecture Series.

The lecture is hosted by the UK College of Social Work. Judd’s lecture is titled “From Kentucky to Kenya and Everywhere in Between.”

Judd’s website biography describes her as an “eighth generation Kentuckian,” though she now lives in Tennessee.

In addition to her acting career and activism, Judd is well known for returning to her alma mater for men’s basketball games. Judd’s lecture is on Dec. 1, and on Dec. 2, the team plays against Harvard, where Judd earned an MPA in 2010.

The lecture is from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Singletary Center. The event is free, but tickets are required.
