Sophomore UK wide receiver Zy’Aire Hughes was arrested Sunday morning and booked at the Fayette County Detention Center.

According to the detention center’s website, Hughes was charged with fourth degree assault on Woodland Avenue after being arrested by Lexington Metro Police Department. He was booked just after 5 a.m. and is being held on a $3,000 bond, according to the Fayette County Detention Center website. 

Hughes had 63 total receiving yards and a touchdown for the Cats this season. The team is 9-3 and is waiting to find out which bowl they’ll be playing in.
