Emergency crews responded to a fire at the UK HealthCare campus early Thursday morning.

A fire broke out in the incinerator room of a building near the 800 block of Rose Street around 9:30 a.m., according to Major Jordan Saas of the Lexington Fire Department.

Crews were promptly dispatched to the fire and were able to “quickly extinguish” the flames upon their arrival, according to Saas.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Saas.
