The Wildcats took another step to completing their schedule for the 2020-2021 campaign on Wednesday, agreeing to take on two schools from Coach Cal’s old stomping grounds.
Kentucky will now play the University of Alabama-Birmingham Blazers on December 6th, and the Marshall Thundering Herd on December 29th. The Cats will take on the two teams, both of which hail from John Calipari’s former conference (Conference USA).
The moves come after the Cats agreed to a three-game series with Notre Dame in late May, the first of which comes this season.
This year’s game with the Blazers will be Kentucky’s seventh against them since 1949-1950. The Cats are 3-3 over that stretch, including a 69-58 win in Rupp Arena last season.
Kentucky last matched up with Marshall in December 2012, where the Cats won 82-54. The Thundering Herd are 0-6 versus Kentucky since 1949-1950, with the average margin of defeat standing at 21.5 points.
