Girls in Motion and Operation Be You collaborated to host Trailblazer Luminaries: A Women’s History Month celebration at the Lexington Public Library. The event honored the accomplishments of Black women around Lexington and hoped to inspire the younger generation of women to achieve their goals. Justice Pamela Goodwine, the first African American woman on the Kentucky Supreme Court was honored at the event.
“I am honored to know that I forged a path for others that’s coming behind me, and to know that I’ve added diversity not only to the legal profession but to the judiciary,” Goodwine said.
