The University of Kentucky Police Department alerted UK students of a report of a drug-related incident that occurred on campus in a campus-wide email.
The bulletin was sent out to students on Sept. 17. The incident is reported to have occurred on Sept. 14.
“While on campus, the victim was given a drink and later learned that it contained a controlled substance, which led to them becoming ill and receiving medical attention. UK Police and the appropriate campus units are actively investigating this matter,” the crime bulletin said.
The email encouraged students to not accept drinks that they haven’t watched be made from strangers, to not leave drinks unattended and they attached a link to an alcohol education course students can take for free.
