Kentucky baseball (32-7 15-3 SEC) moved down one spot to No. 4 in the D1Baseball Top 25 week 11 rankings.
The Wildcats’ slight drop in the rankings comes after going 2-2 on a week that began with a road midweek victory over the rival Louisville Cardinals before Tennessee came into Kentucky Proud Park for a weekend series. The Bat Cats took the first game before losing the next two and the series, their first series loss in conference play.
Kentucky is among the eight SEC teams that can be found throughout the rankings.
Remaining in the No. 1 spot is Texas A&M, which finished 3-1 on the week. The Aggies took care of Air Force in its midweek matchup before heading to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for a weekend set with Alabama in which they took the first two games, but lost the series finale.
Staying put at No. 2 is Arkansas, which went 4-1 in a week that began with two victories over Texas Tech before heading to Columbia, South Carolina, for a weekend series with the Gamecocks. The Razorbacks took the first game before losing the second game, but responded by winning the third game and the series.
Moving up one spot to No. 3 is Tennessee, which finished the week 3-1. The Vols took care of Bellarmine at home before heading to Lexington for the weekend series against the Wildcats.
Moving up two spots to No. 11 was Vanderbilt, which finished 3-1 on the week. The Commodores defeated Lipscomb on the road before returning to Nashville, Tennessee, for a weekend series against Florida. The Commodores took the first two games, but could not complete the sweep in game three.
Moving up four sports to No. 20 is Georgia after a 2-1 week. The Bulldogs did not have a midweek matchup, so their only action of the week was a home series against Ole Miss in which they took the first two games, but dropped the final game.
Dropping five spots to No. 23 is Alabama, which went 1-3 on the week. The Tide lost its midweek home game against UAB before hosting Texas A&M for a weekend set.
Right behind the Tide at No. 24 is South Carolina, which rounded out the SEC representation in the rankings. The Gamecocks fell four spots after going 2-2 on the week that began with a midweek victory over The Citadel. The Gamecocks then hosted Arkansas.
Oklahoma, NC State and Indiana State joined the rankings at 18, 21 and 25 respectively. They replaced West Virginia, Virginia Tech and Dallas Baptist.
Coastal Carolina had the biggest jump as it moved up six spots to No. 13 and Oregon had the biggest drop of the week, moving down six spots to No. 22.
