UK student, Joshua Griffin, 20, was arrested yesterday afternoon during his shift at the William T. Young Library Starbucks.

According to UKPD, the arrest was due to Griffin violating an Emergency Protective Order or Domestic Violence Order that was placed against him.

Griffin’s cash bond was set at $300, and he posted bail on Thursday, according to Fayette County Jail records.

It is unknown how he violated said order.

UK’s Communications Director Whitney M. Siddiqui said that the university is “unable to share additional information in order to protect the privacy rights of those involved.”

Griffin appeared in court for an arraignment hearing on Friday afternoon.
