UK freshman walk-on Dusty Mills is no longer with the basketball team, head coach Billy Gillispie said after the Cats’ win over Georgia on Tuesday.

Mills, a Noblesville, Ind., native, told a Lexington Herald-Leader reporter that he was kicked off the team following an incident during UK’s game at Georgia on Feb. 2, and that he did not have a chance to plead his case to Gillispie.

“They all have a chance,” Gillispie said after Tuesday’s game. “Dusty was a great member of our team, but he’s no longer on the team.”

Mills appeared in four games this season, averaging 1.3 minutes. He has not played since UK’s win over Florida International on Dec. 31.
