The protest group performing the sit-in in Gov. Steve Beshear’s office has received word that several groups plan to rally on the steps in the front of the Capitol Sunday afternoon.

This rally is in addition to the “I Love Mountains Day” rally that was already planned for 11 a.m. Monday morning.

Several groups are expected to attend, including Footprints for Peace, a group that is marching from Prestonsburg, Ky. to Frankfort, Ky. to protest mountain-top removal and strip mining.
