Notes: UK’s SEC basketball schedule, Miller scores seven, Georgetown-China altercation

Some notes from Thursday:

  • UK’s basketball conference schedule was released today. UK is on ESPN or CBS 11 times (not counting the Tennessee game on ESPNU). The 12 nationally televised games is a league high. As Georgia beat writer Seth Emerson pointed out, UK will play former East teams twice and former West teams once, even though the SEC abandoned the divisional format this year.   • Darius Miller played 21 minutes in his fifth game for the U.S. team in the World University Games. His statline: seven points on 3-4 shooting, one rebound, one assist and four fouls. A full box score for the game can be found here. For the tournament, Miller is averaging 6.8 points per game.
  • A fight ended a Georgetown exhibition game in China this morning. The video, via SportsGrid, is well worth a watch. The brawl was started after a foul, and a full on-the-ground account can be read here.
