UK Police is investigating trash can fires on the Kirwin side of the Kirwin-Blanding Complex.

On Wednesday, the fire marshall was out investigating the reported fire that occurred in an outdoor trash can between Kirwin III and Kirwin IV.

During the course of the investigation, it was noted that three additional outdoor garbage trash cans within the complex were also damaged by fire, the bulletin said.

The bulletin said the trash cans are independent of one another and were all considered seperate incidents.

“The fires were extinguished prior to their discovery,” the bulletin said.

No injuries have been reported, but UKPD is looking into the fires. If anyone has any information about the fires, contact UKPD at 859-257-8573.
