Rusty Z bringing talents to the Cats Den

UK students are encouraged to visit the Cats Den to witness the entertaining powers of Rusty Z, a hypnotic comedian, Tuesday evening.
The event, being sponsored by the Student Center Director’s Office, will begin at 8 p.m.
Rusty Z is a hypnotic comedian who has been entertaining crowds throughout the U.S. with his combination of stand-up comedy and hypnosis.
“Rusty Z is one of the few stage hypnotists who comes from a stand-up comedy background,” said Stephanie Martin, assistant director for activities and marketing. “Instead of the usual canned hypnosis show, Rusty Z brings you a show that’s funny from start to finish.”
The event will also include donated prizes from Jamba Juice, Tropical Smoothie, Wildcat Warehouse, Joe Bologna’s and Bonefish Grill, along with drinks and popcorn.
“The Cats Den provides free, entertaining events to UK students throughout the semester,” Martin said. “We bring consistent, quality programming to campus, such as Comedy Caravan, concerts, video games, tournaments and trivia nights that have become student favorites.”
Martin added that they are always looking for fun, new events that might interest UK students, and that Rusty Z will be that person.
“The Cats Den has not offered an entertainer like Rusty Z before, so it is difficult to predict the size of his audience,” Martin said.
Rusty Z has been performing his Hypno-a-Go-Go stage hypnosis show for over a decade. Before that he was a touring stand-up comedian, and has been featured on “An Evening At The Improv,” “Comedy On The Road,” “The Dennis Miller Show” and Comedy Central.
