Devin Booker, Tyler Ulis among 4 Cats signees named to McDonald’s All-America Game

Four UK basketball Class of 2014 signees have been selected to play in this year’s McDonald’s All-America Game.

Devin Booker, Tyler Ulis, Karl Towns Jr., and Trey Lyles were added to UK’s list of McDonald’s All-America players.

Since head coach John Calipari’s arrival in 2009, UK has had 20 commits make the high school all-star team, the most in the timespan.

Booker, a 6-foot-5-inch shooting guard from Moss Point High School in Moss Point, Miss., signed with UK in October 2013. He is averaging 32.8 points per game and is ranked as the third-best shooting guard in the ESPN 100 list.

Ulis is a four-star point guard from Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Ill. Ulis averaged 21.9 points per game in his junior year of high school. He is ranked 33rd overall in the nation, according to ESPN.

Lyles, a forward from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, is averaging 25.4 points and 13.2 rebounds per game. Lyles signed with UK in November 2013.

Towns, who is considered the best player in his region by ESPN 100, is a center from St. Joseph High School in Metuchen, N.J. Towns signed with UK in 2012, and is the only player of the school’s four recruits to be on the East’s squad for the game.

The game will be played at the United Center in Chicago at 9:30 p.m. April 2. It will be broadcast on ESPN.
