Another day down, another scratch from the Breeders’ Cup Classic, as Smooth Roller is now the second horse to be scratched from this $5 million race.

Smooth Roller was reported to have a tendon issue in his left front leg and was scratched by stewards on behalf of state veterinarians.

With two scratches so far, this is the smallest field of horses in the Classic since 1989.

Due to Smooth Roller’s scratch, the odds have changed again for the Classic.

Gleneagles is the only horse whose odds have not changed.
