Dorian Baker scored his second touchdown of the game off a 3-yard pass from Patrick Towles to take a 34-27 lead in overtime.

UK to receive the ball to start overtime.

Second Half

It was fourth and three with 52 seconds remaining in the game. UK was down 27-20 and seemingly clinging to the ropes, but a ballsy fade to Dorian Baker in the corner of the end zone with a defender draped all over tied the game at 27-all.

After pulled away, 27-13, UK ramped up the urgency and pulled within one touchdown as Jojo Kemp ran it 7 yards into the end zone. Kemp on the day has 11 attempts for 37 yards.

The upset-alert bells have officially sounded as EKU once again marched down the field after UK’s offense stalled. Dy’Shawn Mobley ran it in from 6-yards to cap a 5-play, 26 yard drive. EKU now leads, 20-13 in the fourth quarter.

The Colonels received the kickoff to open the second half and proceeded to march down the field for a one-yard Bennie Coney touchdown run. The drive lasted 10 plays for 54 yards.

UK, however, promptly responded on the next possession. Towles heaved a deep pass that got caught in the wind and landed in Jeff Badet’s hands. The proceeding point-after attempt failed. UK, 13, EKU 13

First Half

Three UK turnovers and a sluggish offense has allowed EKU to remain in a game that has been billed as a tune-up for UK’s upcoming match against Auburn.

In stark contrast to last weekend’s thrilling win against then-No.25 Missouri, the Cats are struggling to find any consistency on offense. With Stanley ‘Boom’ Williams out for the game, UK has rushed for only 23 yards on 18 attempts.

Patrick Towles has come back to earth after last week, he’s a meager 10-for-19 for 121 yards and 2 interceptions.

UK’s other turnover happened early in the first quarter when Jeff Badet coughed up the ball after a lengthy gain.

EKU scored in the second quarter off a Bennie Coney 6-yard touchdown pass to Devin Borders ending an 11 play, 71 yard drive.

The Colonels had a chance to take the lead with over a minute left in the half, but UK’s Farrington Huguenin blocked the 47-yard attempt.

UK’s only touchdown came off a one-yard quarterback sneak in the first quarter.

Injury report: UK’s Denzil Ware and Garrett Johnson were both helped off the field. Ware suffered what seemed to be an ankle injury, and Johnson went down to a hard hit.
