A UK alum was taken into custody by New York City police officers after allegedly crashing a drone into the 40th floor of the Empire State Building.

Sean Riddle, president of the New York City UK Alumni Association, was operating the drone when it crashed, falling to a ledge on the 35th floor.

The Washington Post reported that Riddle, 27, was trying to take pictures of the drone, and then went to the building’s security guards when it crashed. The guards, in turn, handed him over to the police.

The New York Times reported that Riddle was arrested shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday, and faces charges of reckless endangerment, and aviation in and over New York City.
