Trial of suspect in murder of UK chef to begin on Monday

A status hearing was held on Friday morning for a man who is a suspect in the 2013 murder of a UK employee. His trial is set to begin on Monday. 

According to LEX18, Mark Taylor is the man accused of murdering Alex Johnson, who was a UK chef. His body was found in a barrel in the Kentucky River. 

Photos of the dead body, items found during his capture and a testimony from his mother are included in the evidence against Taylor.

A second man who was charged with the murder of Johnson, Timothy Ballard, admitted his involvement in the case and took a plea deal.
