The High Street parking lot, located on the corner of E. High Street and S. Martin Luther King Boulevard, will close tomorrow. 

In a press release, UK said the lot will close for expansion construction. The construction should be completed by Aug. 23.

The lot currently has 81 spots and Parking and Transportation Services anticipates the lot will have 77 more spots when construction is completed. 

PTS announced in April it would expand the lot, the press release said. The High Street parking lot is currently an E-lot. Once completed, the lot will be used as parking for UK employees on north campus, including UK Healthcare Good Samaritan Hospital and Kentucky Utilities building employees. 

The press release said construction started in the summer to minimize the effect  on the campus community.
