Arizona student becomes first woman to earn NCAA football scholarship

High school student, Becca Longo, has made history (herstory?) as the first female to earn a scholarship to play football at a Division II school.
Longo signed a letter of intent to go to Adams State University in Colorado. After sending video highlights to various schools, the offensive coordinator at Adams State took notice of her accuracy and athleticism as a kicker.
Only a dozen women have played college football according to ESPN, but Longo is the first to play under an athletic scholarship.
