A UK student has died after an accident on South Limestone in from of the UK Medical Center late Wednesday morning, UK Police Chief Joe Monroe said.

LEX 18 reported that Ryan J. Greenwell from Cincinnati died in the accident, which was between a car and motorcycle. South Limestone was shut down in both directions by the Lexington Police Department as they tried to recreate the scene. Traffic reopened around 11:25 a.m.

According to LEX 18, a car was attempting to make a left turn when the vehicle and motorcycle collided.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
