DanceBlue sets Feb. 17-18 as date for 2018 marathon

DanceBlue announced the date for the 2018 marathon.
The 24-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon will take place from 8 p.m. on Feb. 17 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 18.
The date is chosen based on when Memorial Coliseum, the location for the marathon, is available, according to DanceBlue Overall Chair Madison Conroy.
Conroy said there are multiple tiers of preparation for the dance marathon itself, as well as the many events throughout the rest of the year. DanceBlue is a year-long, not 24-hour-long, philanthropy.
“Throughout the entire year, we are excited to serve the kids in whatever ways we can and continuously plan,” Conroy said. “Now that the marathon date is solidified, we are excited to share this experience with the entire campus and community.”
