UK moves up one spot in the AP Poll

After a week in which UK basketball went 3-0 and five top-10 teams lost games, the Cats checked in at No. 7 in the latest AP Poll released on Monday.

The Cats climbed one spot after being ranked No. 8 in the previous poll. The Cats collected three wins in the past week, including a 34-point win over UIC on Sunday night.

Recap: UK defeats UIC 107-73

Ahead of Kentucky in rank order is Duke, Kansas, Michigan State, Villanova, Notre Dame and Florida. Florida suffered a three-point loss to Duke on Sunday night at the PK80 Invitational.

The SEC also had another school crack the top-10, as Texas A&M climbed to the No. 9 ranking after beating Southern California on Sunday night. Alabama was the other SEC team included in the top-25, checking in at No. 24. 

The Cats will be back on the court on Dec. 2 when they host Harvard at Rupp Arena. Tipoff is at 3:30 p.m.
