UK has announced that Facebook Watch will be airing a 10-episode docu-series that will feature the Kentucky men’s basketball eam during the 2017-2018 season.

The first episode of the docu-series, which is titled “Inside the Madness: University of Kentucky Basketball” will air this Saturday on Facebook Watch. Episodes will release every Saturday until March 14, when episodes will be released every Wednesday and Saturday except the final two episodes on March 31.

“We get approached all the time to do all-access shows,” head coach John Calipari said in a press release. “The one question I always have is, what is our why? Why are we doing this? As our fans know, we are transparent in everything we do so there is never a concern about the access we give. It’s what makes this different than any other show?”

The docu-series was run by executive producers Tom Cappello and Jason Sciavicco, who also co-produced Showtime’s “A Season With.” The docu-series is meant to show the progression the Cats have made throughout the season, as well as give viewers a peek into the everyday lives of Kentucky basketball players.

“The great thing is their crew can do that while being of no distraction to our team and our goals,” Calipari said in the press release. “They’re around, but they’re a fly on the wall. We get to open the doors to our team in a way we’ve never done before while I coach my team and these kids learn.”

It hasn’t been determined yet if the docu-series will produce more episodes if UK makes a run to the national championship game, since the title game would take place two days after the airing of the final episode.
