No. 10 Kentucky gymnastics (5-5, 2-4 SEC) lost to No. 9 Georgia (5-5, 3-3 SEC) 197.200-197.150.
Creslyn Brose, Hailey Davis, Delaynee Rodriguez and Isabella Magnelli all had event wins on the night.
Brose won her second consecutive floor title with a 9.950 score. Davis won her first ever bar title, posting a 9.925. Rodriguez recorded her second career all-around win with a score of 39.425. Magnelli won her third vault title of the season and ninth of her career with a 9.900.
Kentucky began on bars, scoring a 49.225. Davis led the way for the Wildcats, followed by Rodriguez. Jillian Procasky and Skylar Killough-Wilhelm each added a 9.825. Kentucky beat Georgia on bars by one half-tenth.
Moving to vault, the Cats had four gymnasts who stuck their landing. Procasky led off with a score of 9.850 and Cecily Rizo added a 9.800. Makenzie Wilson scored a 9.825 and Magnelli led the team on vault and Killough-Wilhelm and Rodriguez closed the rotation with scores of 9.850 and 9.775. The Cats also beat the Bulldogs on vault.
Kentucky moved to floor and scored a 49.400. Procasky led off with a 9.850. Magnelli added a 9.825 and Rodriguez recorded her career-high of 9.925. Killough-Wilhelm posted her second 9.850 of the night and Brose followed with the highest score of the night. Davis closed out the floor rotation with a 9.800.
Going into the final rotation, the Cats had a lead, but only posted a 49.300 on beam.
Rodriguez had a 9.850 to start Kentucky and Brose recorded a 9.900. Sharon Lee continued the rotation with a 9.875 and Procasky scored a 9.750 after a wobble. A fall from Killough-Wilhelm earned her a 8.850. Magnelli responded with a 9.925. Georgia scored a season-best 49.450 on floor to take the lead and the win against the Cats.
Kentucky gymnastics will return to Historic Memorial Coliseum for its final home meet of the season Friday, March 7, at 7 p.m. as the Arkansas Razorbacks come to town. This meet will also be senior night for Kentucky’s six gymnasts in their final season of eligibility.
