Logan Dorsey collected his second career hat trick as Kentucky men’s soccer (5–5–6, 4–2–3 Sun Belt) defeated Georgia State (4–8–5, 1–5–3 Sun Belt) by a score of 7-4.
With the hat trick, Dorsey became the first player in program history to record two hat tricks in a single season.

The ball stayed on the Wildcats’ offensive side when Dorsey scored his first goal of the match in the 25th minute.
The Panthers struggled to maintain control of the ball when Kentucky freshman midfielder Oliver Stavdal scored to push the Wildcats lead to a 3-1 in the 30th minute.
With 14 minutes left in the first half, Kentucky’s momentum slowed as Georgia State collected four corner kicks and forced one foul on Kentucky. Despite this, Kentucky stayed on top with a 3-1 lead going into halftime.
The Wildcats wasted no time finding the net again out of halftime as Dorsey’s second goal came in the 46th minute after a throw-in by Kentucky.
After this goal, the match immediately slowed down. Georgia State started to pick up slack as they gathered two corners and two free kicks. This energy from the Panthers did not prohibit Kentucky from making significant moves as they collected three corners and one free kick themselves.
In the 67th minute, Dorsey completed his hat trick, giving the Wildcats a 5-1 lead. Georgia State responded in the 72nd minute with a goal from graduate student midfielder Miguel Ramirez.
The Panthers capitalized on this newfound momentum again in the 83rd minute as Ramirez hit the back of the net for his second and the team’s third goal.
Kentucky tried to stop this energy in the 85th minute when junior midfielder Iker Carew capitalized on a throw-in, bumping the score to 6-3.
With just three minutes remaining in the match, Georgia State senior midfielder Bryan Silva hit the back of the net, shortening Kentucky’s lead to 6-4.
