Kentucky football tacked on yet another addition to its 2025 recruiting class on Thursday with the verbal commitment from Cedric Works, with the Ohio native being the Cat’s fourth four-star recruit in 2025.

247Sports has Works ranked as the No. 86 player and No. 11 edge rusher in the class of 2025.

With Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow listed as the primary recruiter, Works would bypass offers from Penn State, Cincinnati and SEC East Rival Florida in favor of Kentucky blue.

This past weekend has seen Kentucky’s 2025 recruiting class move up the ranks, and the addition of Works finds Kentucky boasting the No. 23 recruiting class in the nation per 247Sports with work continuing to be done.

A plethora of the Wildcats’ finest reside on the defensive line, and with standout nose tackle Deone Walker destined to hear his name called high in the 2025 NFL Draft, Works and company will have big shoes to fill in the Fall of 2025.
