Baseball drops game one to LSU

The No. 2 UK baseball team lost No. 1 LSU 5-4 Friday night in front of a season-high 3,785 fans at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
After tying the game at three in the fourth, a two-RBI double by Austin Nola broke the tie and gave the Tigers the lead for good. Nola finished the game 2-4 with three RBIs.
Junior Zac Zellers led UK, going 3-4 with an RBI and run scored.
LSU’s starting pitcher, Kevin Gausman, pitched seven innings, giving up four runs with 11 strikeouts.
The Cats and Tigers face off again in game two at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
