Kentucky Associate Director of Basketball Operations Chris Woolard was arrested on Monday morning for driving under the influence in Lexington.

Per his arrest citation, Woolard was found in his car on a sidewalk at Beaumont Center Lane and Malone Drive around 2 a.m. Monday allegedly smelling of alcohol and covered in vomit with the car still in gear.

He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence after failing a field sobriety test. Wollard’s arrest citation says he “stated he had been drinking and had taken a prescribed medication.”

Woolard will enter his 12th season with Kentucky if he remains with the team following the arrest, serving as associate athletic director for basketball operations for John Calipari’s mens basketball team as well as serving as the executive director for the Calipari Foundation.

He joined the staff just prior to the 2011-2012 national championship winning season.

A representative for the University of Kentucky told ABC36 that UK is “aware of the situation” and is “handling the matter internally.”

Woolard’s arraignment hearing is scheduled for Oct. 28.
