LIVE BLOG: UK defeats Indiana 72-54

UK (7-3) defeated Indiana University (5-5) 72-54 in to earn its seventh victory of the season.  The Cats were lead by sophomore forward Josh Harrellson with 15 points.  Harrellson added six rebounds and was 6-11 from the field.

The Cats scored the first 14 points of the game and were 10-11 from the field to start the contest.  UK went cold from the field to finish the first half shooting 57 percent in the first half and 48 percent for the game.  IU never trailed by less than 16 in the second half en route to its fifth loss in then games this season.

Junior guard Michael Porter left the game in the second half with an apparent ankle injury.  Porter returned to the game briefly before leaving again with the injury.

UK committed 23 turnovers in the game, marking the fifth game this season in which the Cats turned the ball over at least 20 times.  Jodie Meeks added 13 points in the game and Perry Stevenson scored 10 points to go with nine rebounds.

The Cats were without junior forward Ramon Harris for the third consecutive game.  Harris was taken off the court on a stretcher after colliding head-to-head with Porter in UK’s victory over Lamar on Dec. 3, 2008.
