Sarah Brookbank

Put an Asian spin on dinner in 20 minutes or less, with this easy stir fry. If you don’t have a rice cooker, you can cook the rice on the stove, and add in the steamed veggies.

3/4 c. rice

Package of frozen steamed vegetables

2 c. Water

1 tsp. Soy Sauce (or according to preference)

1 Tsp. Terriaki Sauce (or according to preference)

Rice cooker directions:

Put the water and rice in the bottom of the rice cooker. Add the veggies to the steamer basket and place in the top of the cooker. Set for 20 minutes. If you prefer cunchier vegetables, take them out a few minutes before the rice is done.

Add Soy and Terriaki sauce as preferred.

You can also add grilled chicken or other proteins can also be added.

If you have left overs, throw them in a crockpot with an egg, 3 tbls. of butter, and seasonings. Heat it on high for 2-3 hours, to create unorthodox but tasty fried rice.
