Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear came to campus Friday to award the winners of his #VoiceofJustice video contest.

Professor Emily Bonistall Postel’s 400-level sociology course won the video contest with their video “Stand with us.” The winner of the contest was selected by a panel of survivors and victim advocates.

The #VoiceofJustice video contest aimed to bring greater awareness to campus sexual assault.

Beshear awarded the $500 winning prize to Postel and two of her students on Friday morning. Broadcast journalism senior Reanah Hawkins and political science and sociology senior Trent Patrick were co-directors of the video. They accepted the check on behalf of the class.

The students plan to donate the check, according to a press release from the Office of the Attorney General.
